Coming off the heels of NYFW: Bridal Fashion Week, we’re thrilled to share some trend insight we gleaned from the amazing brands who presented. From playful colors and textures to sexy cutouts, the busiest year of weddings since 1984 is going to be a visual extravaganza.
Show Your True Colors
Surprisingly, not everything was white! Throughout the duration of market we saw gowns in hues far beyond traditional white or ivory—you may soon start seeing gowns in saturated black, red, mauve, blush, green, and pink!
All That Glitters
Loads of sparkle add an element of enchantment to gowns. By reflecting and refracting light, glittering tulle creates a halo effect around brides. How magical.
Show Some Skin
Sexy cut outs and high slits are juxtaposed to more modest styles boasting sleeves, jackets, and generally minimalist designs. Whether you’re on one side of this spectrum or the other, you’re covered.
Big Sleeves are Back
We’re excited to report that the design element of the season is sleeve detailing! From Renaissance-style bell sleeves to Bardot-style tops with puff sleeves, it’s been a while since arms received this much attention.
